Sara Talks Anime

The episode begins with the crown prince doing work. As this is going on, he experiences a bout of dizziness. While he’s about to fully brush it off, he remembers that Elise said that he should return if the dizziness continued. Meanwhile, Graham and Elise arrive at the director’s office. Viscount Ven at first appears to see through Elise’s persona of Rose, but decides to brush it off as an uncanny resemblance. When the director asked Graham how he did the spleen removal, Graham states that it was Elise who did it. Of course, the director doesn’t believe this, and asks Elise to explain how she did the surgery.

Elise does explain it, but there are points where the director interrupts, asking questions regarding why she did a specific step. Viscount Ven is impressed, to the point where he asks Elise to work if she could work at the same hospital he works at. Of course, for this to happen, Elise needs to take the physician’s exam, and to take the exam, she needs recommendations from 3 professors. And since the three other people in the room count as professors, Elise could get their recommendations. And after expressing her confidence in being able to pass despite the fact that the exam will be harder this year, the director decides to write up a recommendation for Elise to take the exam.

We then see a scene of Elise getting rid of some vines that are on the window of one of the care areas, with the patient inside thanking her. As she’s working, the crown prince (in his Ron disguise) arrives to get treatment for the dizziness he’s experiencing. Elise takes the crown prince to an examination room and goes through the examination. Once Elise is done with the examination, she determines that the crown prince has subacute thyroiditis. Elise gets him a prescription for some medicine, and the crown prince continues to return for treatment. At some point after his treatment, he does return and help Elise with cleaning.

He also gets her a necklace as a way to thank her, but she turns it down. After asking her about food, the crown prince decides that as thanks, he’d let her eat whatever she wants. We also get to see a scene of the emperor and his adviser discussing the exam, and how the adviser wants to reveal Elise’s engagement at the birthday celebrations, despite the fact that would be breaking the promise the emperor made, as well as the adviser having suggested increasing the difficulty of the exam that year.

This episode was fun to watch, and the ending has me a bit concerned for what could come next. Elise does know her doctoral knowledge from the modern world, but she’ll have to figure out how to match it with the medical knowledge in her current times. I can’t wait to see where the story ends up going!
