I’m Sara Aeschliman, and I’m the youngest daughter of Lesley Aeschliman (you’d know her from Lesley’s Anime and Manga Corner)! I’ve basically spent my entire life around anime and manga…in case my mom being an aniblogger wasn’t the dead giveaway for that.

I’ve constantly hovered around my mom when she was working on the blog (sorry ’bout that, mom), I didn’t begin aniblogging myself until the middle of the Summer 2023 anime season. I think I’ll leave a link to this post, in case you’re curious about the circumstances that required me to step in.

While I initially was brought on to my mom’s blog to fill in holes for simulcasts we were both watching, with my mom’s consent, I continued to post writeups to her blog to help provide some more content. However, while it was nice, I will say that it felt weird to post to a blog that didn’t include my name on the tin. This site, however, is me spinning off on my own!

When not making writeups, I’m either watching anime for fun, playing video games, or letting out my creativity in other ways, such as writing stories or making art! I also read from time to time!

Some of my favorite anime of all time include Detective Conan, Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon, Stardust Telepath, and Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again.

Will you cover anime news?

Coverage of anime news will only be done if I get contacted with a press release. If you are a PR representative, please email any press releases that fit with the blog to saratalksanime@gmail.com.

If you’re contacting me to make a post about and/or do any of the following, it’s an automatic NO:

• Requests to write for services with no/uncertain/little monetization. “Uncertain” in this instance means that there are plans to monetize creators in the future, but plans for that are not in place.
• Sponsorship requests for services that mainly focus around merchandise. While I appreciate the offer, I want my site to be focus on the TV animated aspect of anime, not the merch aspect.
• Backlink requests. If I’m going to backlink to you, I’ll be doing that on my own terms, not because Joeshmoe123 desperately wanted me to link back to them because they emailed me.
• Coverage of services that host content without permission from the copyright holders. While I’m not a stickler for people doing that kind of thing, I’d prefer to not publicly promote it.

All of these are based on actual emails I have received at my email address for this blog, however I am purposefully keeping these people/services anonymous, just to ensure that it’s harder for people to track them down just to try and shame them for contacting me.
