The episode begins with Bulma investigating what caused the ship to fall and finding out that they have to replace a vital part—and said vital part doesn’t even exist on Earth! Yippee! Thankfully, Hybis arrived.
Meanwhile, with Goku and the others, Panzy introduces us to emergency rations…which Goku promptly eats, even though he’s been told that one is equivalent to two meals. Panzy isn’t all that impressed.
Back with Bulma and the others, we see that everyone at the temple except Mr. Popo and Kibito got on to go to the Demon Realm, with Hybis calling the king and getting updates on what to do.
BACK with Goku and the others, Panzy spots the Gendarmerie following them, so they have to pause their travels to deal with that, as they were able to track Panzy down via her collar. While Glorio, Shin, and Panzy come out, Goku stays behind for a bit while they’re searching before using his Instantaneous Movement to go to where Shin is. Even despite Panzy letting out a gasp at this, with some quick movement, Goku manages to remain hidden. Of course, they want to take Panzy in for questioning, but they manage to get the members of the Gendarmerie down after a battle…at the cost of the plane that was on loan to them now being unsafe to use.
Jeez louise, we’re only seven episodes in, and we’ve already needed to move on to a THIRD plane. This was NOT on my “completely existent” bingo card for this series, but you know what? That’s still fine. Besides, the plane they will use now (with all of the stuff from the second plane, due to that being moved when the Gendarmerie searched!) looks cool.
Panzy then uses a device to disable their communicators and prevent them from calling backups. Then we learn about the collar and how it works, and Shin ends up breaking it because of Glind powers. Also, Shin isn’t even Shin’s biological name; his biological name is Nahare. I will still call him Shin, though, because I need consistency. They take off again, with them being able to travel faster now. Of course, they need the PIN number for this ship for when they need to use Warp-sama, so Panzy has someone who I can only from the castle hack to get the PIN number for the ship they’re using, even involving Goku insisting that they have Hybis catch up, because of course he’s just excited to fight a strong guy.
After taking a break to have some food and go to the bathroom, Goku challenges the Tamagami…or maybe it was more so the Tamagami instigated the fight? Regardless, we’re going to see a fight next episode. Also, Bulma is NOT happy about needing to catch up.
While I think it may have been a bit early to get rid of Panzy’s collar, having it on too long would likely slow down the pace too much, so I can understand choosing to remove the collar at this episode instead of trying to proceed further with the collar on. But we’re finally getting to the first Tamagami fight! Even if I’m 99% certain that Goku will end up winning the battle (even if not next episode, then at some point within the Fall 2024 anime season), I’m still going to check out next week’s episode to see what happens next.
