…I genuinely have no words that I think are suitable to lead into this post. Both in the “i somehow can’t think of anything to lead into this post” way and “me being flabbergasted at the fact that I genuinely feel like this episode doesn’t need a content warning”. And if you thought that’s where my lack of words ended…oh boy, you have way too much faith in me.
Like, yeah, we had a nice calm moment (rare moment of sunshine in this series) at the beginning of this episode, but that felt relatively short lived before we got back to the sort of things that I consider to be the norm for this series. Then there were new characters introduced at the end of the episode, but they’ll most likely be expanded upon in the next episode, as it seems like this is leading into what’s essentially the next little story arc within the bigger story for the series.
It seems that the main characters are also aware of the war that’s currently happening that we got introduced to last episode, though I don’t expect them to become directly involved quite yet.
The only thing I really want to go into detail about is the new characters, but like…I think that’d be too spoiler heavy for this writeup, meaning I’d have to leave my talks about them for next episode, as it seems like that’s where they’re going to shine the most.
Um…as of this point, the opening theme has officially grown on me. It wasn’t something that hooked me straight away, but now that I’ve been hearing it weekly, I’m not thinking as lowly of it. Still not a song that I’m going to actively seek out just to add to my playlist or sing its highest praises, but I no longer consider it to be average.
The preview for the next episode is making it look rather intense. Oh boy. Expected that from this series, to be honest, but I genuinely don’t know what else to say on this front.
My brain is just too much like scrambled eggs at the moment to come up with a proper post, I’m sorry. 😦 Maybe next week I’ll have a proper post for this series to make up for it.
