This is the first time that the official title that Crunchyroll used and the title that I Google Translated lined up. This is likely going to be not only the first, but also the final time that this will occur. I mean, I’m sorry, but I don’t think there’s any other way to interpret this specific episode title. And if this happens again? So be it.
Now, before I go into my thoughts on the episode itself, I’ve gotta do my usual complaint of a long as hell synopsis done by Crunchyroll because for some reason the cycle has come back to this series having an episode with a long as hell synopsis. The synopsis is as follows:
Monica is attending school for the first time in a week, so Lana and Casey hold a welcome back party for her. Claudia also joins and the girls have fun. Everyone is curious about the school festival that’s right around the corner. Casey is going to sell her embroideries at the charity bazaar, and Monica’s eyes light up when she sees them, so Casey promises to make one for Monica, too. That same day after school, supplies are delivered to the school, so Monica heads to the storage with Cyril. Casey fills in for the stage designer and accompanies them, but…
That’s literally how it ends. And…yeah, not doing a screenshot to show it this time around. I think you may be getting tired of seeing them for the synopses. This synopsis could’ve easily been shortened to “Strange events occur when Monica returns to school after being absent for a week.”
See? That gets the important information from the original synopsis across without using a fuck ton of sentences! That could be understandable for an extended episode or a movie, but not for a simple old standard length episode of a series.
Seriously, Crunchyroll, if you need a new synopsis writer, hire me! Hell, I’d even be chill with you guys utilizing my synopses without credit and without compensation if it meant we got all the synopses for Secrets of the Silent Witch on the same bar! This is 100% a Crunchyroll issue, but I’m still pointing it out as Crunchyroll is where I watch these episodes.
The episode itself was quite enjoyable, though. One of the twists in it (which I will not expand upon due to spoilers) was enough to make me sit on the edge of my seat and really lock in on the contents of the episode. …is that still cool verbiage to keep in my lexicon? Or is that seen as dated now? Slang moves too quickly for me nowadays.
And ultimately, I enjoyed the action in this episode as well, which helped to keep me on the edge of my seat. Something else I’ve complained about in regards to the actual contents of the episodes was also done in this episode, so a big applause for the staff of Secrets of the Silent Witch!
Honestly, I think this episode is one of the best in the series so far. Definitely worth the time I’ve put into the series so far, and I genuinely hope episodes like this keep coming. Only one way to find out: and that’s by watching the series!

No, no, no, wait! Not yet! I almost forgot to do what I typically do for this series! Google Translating the episode title and making a theory as to what the next episode could be about! And here we go!

Okay, I highly suspect that’s the more literal translation of the title. So, prediction time, the only word that stays the same between my Google Translate run and the actual localized title is the word Secret.
As for that…honestly, it could be that Monica catches that other characters are suspicious of her identity, so Monica does what she can to keep the secret hidden. I don’t know, this translation is kind of confusing to me. It’ll probably be cleared up when the episode comes out, however.
Okay, you can do the thing now.
