Pretty objects. From Ruri’s point of view, that’s the one thing that unifies every single episode of Ruri Rocks. And, I mean, I can’t blame her. The things that draw her attention are very pretty.
But remember when Ruri wrote down that her sapphire research was to be continued? Well, that was in there for a good reason, as when Ruri struggles to determine which electives she wants to pick up, she turns to her trusty sapphire research to help her figure out what to do next!
The part of her research that gets focus in this episode is finding the host rock of the sapphire that she found earlier in the series, after seeing Imari doing stuff in her research to figure out the host rock of the flourite she found. While Nagi is still absent for the overall adventure part of the episode, I’m not complaining. I like seeeing Imari take the lead!
The conclusion to this episode was also one that was nice and satisfying, and honestly, I wouldn’t ask for a different ending for this episode. I’m not going to go into too much detail about the ending of this episode, but it’s one that I wouldn’t change if given the chance.
However, with only two episodes left in the series, I’m curious how they’re going to use them. Hopefully we’ll get to see more interactions between Nagi and Seto, as between the main characters, I believe their relationship is currently the least defined. I’d like to have a bit more substance to it.
Maybe this is something that is better defined at this point in the manga. Maybe this is the one dynamic that doesn’t really get elaborated on. I don’t know, but I sure as hell want to find out what the answer is.
Overall, this is a great episode of what I consider to be a great series, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sorry for this post being shorter than usual, I don’t think I’m awake enough to explain my thoughts further than this. 😦
