Sara Talks Anime Plans – Spring 2026 Anime Season

I know that this post is so ill timed, considering that the day that I’m posting this (in my time zone) is April Fool’s Day, but I just want to make it clear that this post is not a joke. I don’t really do April Fool’s Day stuff, so I just want to make sure that’s out of the way before I get into the news.

KEY

text like this – Series that got coverage on Sara Talks Anime prior to this post.

text like this – Series that hasn’t been covered on Sara Talks Anime prior to this post, but will be soon. This is mainly due to the fact that it hasn’t premiered yet.

text like this – Series that hasn’t been covered on Sara Talks Anime, but I will talk about elsewhere (typically my account on the Fediverse outside of this site, ash_plavell@urusai.social.)

Carryovers

Simulcasts that started in a previous anime season that I will continue to watch during the Spring 2026 anime season that has no gap between seasons. Please note that this does not count additional seasons of shows that aired after a gap between their previous season. Those are under Continuations instead.

  • Detective Conan
  • Meitantei Precure

NOTE: While I follow Detective Conan as a simulcast, coverage on Sara Talks Anime at the moment is based on where I currently am in my rewatch of the older stuff (as well as my first viewing of some of it), and will take a while to catch up to where the simulcast is, assuming it ever does catch up to where the simulcast is.

Continuations

Shows that are receiving a new season this anime season after a gap between the previous season.

  • Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3

New Premieres

Shows that are airing their first season during this anime season.

  • Always a Catch!
  • Kill Blue*

*assuming that it gets picked up by a legal streaming service that I can access in the United States, and I’m positive it’ll be picked up for streaming in the US based on the signs I’ve seen so far regarding the release of news.

I’m not going to list any on/off site updates this year, as the previous times I listed those I didn’t even hit all of them, so I want to try and avoid that this anime season. It’s better for me to make promises that I know I can keep over here than to promise something and then never follow through on it.

Honestly, I’m glad that I have Always a Catch! to watch this anime season, even regardless of whether or not I get Kill Blue to watch as well. It does mean that I won’t be able to use my backup plan (temporarily taking Sara Watches Detective Conan weekly to ensure that there’s more content published to the blog than just Meitantei Precure posts), but I’m excited to cover the anime season! Hell, late into this anime season, we’ll be celebrating one year of the site being up, and the Fall 2026 anime season will mark one year of me being completely on my own site! And the Summer 2026 anime season, once we get to a certain point in it, will also mark 3 years since I began doing anime blogging and 2 years since I started the Sara Talks Anime! YouTube channel!

I’m excited to begin this anime season, and I’ll see you guys tomorrow for my first post about Always a Catch!. Yeah, this anime season I’m going to be experimenting with having all of my simulcast writeups come out the day after they air, like I do for Meitantei Precure. If I enjoy it, I may keep it up in future anime seasons!
