Alright, this was a simpler episode. It takes place at the school, and it involves an actress visiting to record a thing for a thing for TV, but something goes missing, so Anna and Mikuru have to hop in and act as the detectives they are to figure out where the dress went. Without spoiling too much of the episode, I’ll say that the title is something you should keep in mind once the case itself pops up.
This was an episode with Ageseine being the villain the girls have to go up against. Yippee…
Look, she’s my least favorite out of the villains that have physically acted against the girls so far. I love everything about Nijee, and I’ve warmed up to Goemon’s whole cherry blossom aesthetic with his powers, but I have yet to find anything about Ageseine that moves her into “I want to see more of her” territory.
And while there hasn’t been anything in this episode to confirm or deny that the character that I was thinking could be that one character in the key art is the character I’m thinking of, I’m still going to wait to reveal who I think that character is until they get revealed in the series proper. The ending of this episode is having me hold out hope for my suspicions to be correct, because I doubt they’d end an episode with the character that I think is the yet-to-be-introduced character visiting the CUREtto Detective Agency unless they are the character I’m thinking of.
Then again, I could be wrong. There’s nothing saying that I can’t be wrong.
I don’t really want to get into the details about the events of this episode, but I can’t really think of anything else to write. However, with the episodes of Meitantei Precure that have been released so far, I’ve been highly enjoying the series so far, and I can’t wait to see where it ends up going from here! It’s going to be following me into the Spring 2026 season, and is literally the only series that I’ve been covering as a simulcast that I can confirm is going into the Spring 2026 anime season. Literally, there’s two shows that are premiering in the Spring 2026 anime season that I want to watch, but since US streaming hasn’t been announced for them yet, I’m kind of in a bind.
Don’t worry, I have a backup plan for content for the Spring 2026 anime season just in case neither show that I want to cover streams in the US, so that you aren’t just getting Meitantei Precure content. Thankfully, this shouldn’t be an issue for the Summer 2026 anime season, as I already have a show confirmed there. It may become an issue during the Fall 2026 anime season, however. Yeah, me waiting on US streaming for those two shows I want to follow (which I’m positive will get US streaming due to one having an official English site and the other having English subbed trailers getting released on the international YouTube channel for one of the studios behind it) is literally the only reason why I haven’t made a “Sara Talks Anime Spring 2026 Anime Season Plans” post yet. I don’t want to post something with incomplete information, so I’m waiting until I get that confirmation before I make the post.
My next post will be my usual, but after that will be either that Spring 2026 anime season plan post, a writeup of the first episode of the show I want to watch that starts earlier, or my writeup of the next Meitantei Precure episode, whichever comes first.
