Okay, yeah, I’m fully embracing that I’m gonna have to share these posts to Bluesky on my own. I mean, if I’ve been five to five for needing to share these posts on my own to Bluesky, that’s likely just what I’m gonna have to do for this series. Because technology is just weird like that. My only guess is that the series name somehow fucks up something in the code when it gets sent to Bluesky, causing it to not post over there.
Oh yeah, the mystery shows I’ve watched are helping me be big brain here. I’m not small brain no more, woohoo!
*ahem* You’re here for an episode writeup, not me talking about how technology is working against me in regards to posts I make about this specific series! Hold on, lemme get my cue cards…
Okay. It seems that the sapphire arc (I guess is what it would be considered) is basically over. There may be additional things that occur in the series that lead to more discoveries related to sapphire, as if this series has taught me anything, it’s that research is never over. And that it’s okay to make mistakes, as mistakes are what lead to growth.
…or maybe that’s just what I’ve learned from this episode. It’d still technically count as learning it from the series, right? Like…just because the lessons I learned are from only one episode doesn’t make my wording any less valid, right?
I’d also like to talk about a thing I saw get done in the subtitles on Crunchyroll that I’m pretty certain would be considered easy editing wise, but I still think is super cool because it just feels like it was done so well. In fact, I don’t think me showing a screenshot of what this is doing while it’s in progress of it does it justice. So instead, you’re getting video evidence.
While I was kind of disappointed they didn’t do the same with the first part of what could’ve been done in this style for the subtitles, the fact that they did this at ALL is still something that I can’t help but feel kinda amazed at. It’s clear that whoever subtitles this series genuinely cares about subtitling it (unlike the person who subtitles another series that I watch, who thinks it’s more important to subtitle their credit for subtitling instead of subtitling the next episode title thing for that series, smh).
Though when the hell is that red haired girl going to join the crew? Next episode? I’ve seen her in the opening and ending with the other girls, and I know she exists! I’ve already gotten used to the trio dynamic with Ruri, Nagi, and Imari, and I don’t think I can imagine how the fourth girl could potentially fit into the group at this point! At least Food for the Soul and Stardust Telepath were quick at getting the girls into their respective groups, seemingly unlike Ruri Rocks.
In fact, that’s probably something I’m gonna hold against Ruri Rocks, despite how much I’ve enjoyed it. It’s taking too long to get all the girls in the group for my liking. Stardust Telepath took 4 episodes to introduce its girls and get them in the group, and while Food for the Soul had the majority of the girls ready already in Episode 1, we got Nana in episode 4 to spice up the group. Meanwhile, 6 episodes into Ruri Rocks, only have 3 out of the 4 advertised girls in the group appear to be in the group. My complaint is most likely just a me thing, but if we don’t get the red haired girl soon, I swear…
