Hey! I know that at the time this post is going up, you would usually get a Meitantei Precure writeup! However, because of issues that are literally outside of my control, I have made the decision to permanently move my Meitantei Precure writeups by 24 hours.

Now, what could possibly be causing me to need to move these writeups?

Now, I know what you may be thinking. “Sara, this is a Detective Conan episode. Why is a Detective Conan episode determining what happens with Meitantei Precure?”

Simple. Whenever both a Detective Conan episode and a Meitantei Precure episode air on the same day (as Meitanei Precure episodes simulcast on Saturdays for me), I always watch the Detective Conan episode prior to watching the Meitantei Precure episode. There has been no instance in my memory where I watched the Meitantei Precure episode prior to the Detective Conan episode, and I refuse to let technological issues be where I start breaking that schedule.

This wasn’t even an issue until episode 1211, which aired on August 29th, 2026. To make it clear what we’re dealing with here: that means that once we take out the week where we didn’t have a Detective Conan episode because Japan did a rerun of a previous episode, I have had three weeks straight where when I went in to watch an episode of Detective Conan, I was hit with a KAT-3002 error. Even then, on the week where there wasn’t a Detective Conan episode, I still got hit with a KAT-3002 error, just on Meitantei Precure instead of Detective Conan. Unlike the Detective Conan KAT-3002 errors, however, the Meitantei Precure KAT-3002 error was resolved less than an hour after the episode was supposed to go live, where the worst buffer I’ve had between when the episode was supposed to go live on Crunchyroll and when I could actually watch it with Detective Conan was 30 hours and 19 minutes. Even then, our best case scenarios aren’t much better, as it still takes hours between when the episode was supposed to go live and when I could actually watch the episode.

I don’t want to constantly play the waiting game during the evening with Detective Conan, regardless of whether or not the Meitantei Precure episode is live and works. And since I’m not inclined to go to the route of piracy just to watch Detective Conan episodes just yet, as I know they do eventually get fixed, I figured that the path of least resistance here would be to push my writeups (and in connection, my viewing) of Meitantei Precure back by 24 hours for the remainder of its run, whether that be its broadcast run or the remainder of the time that I cover the anime on this site if I don’t see the series to completion.

This should allow me to wait for the Detective Conan episodes week-by-week if it ever pulls a KAT-3002 error again without me panicking about whether my Meitantei Precure writeups will be affected by this as well. Now, my Meitantei Precure writeups should be out of the splash zone.

Many apologies for the change in schedule, especially this late in the run of Meitantei Precure, but I literally promised the people on the socials that if the Detective Conan episode pulled a KAT-3002 error again, then Meitantei Precure writeups get moved.
