Ugh, I’m tired. Like, tired enough to the point of “I can’t think up of a good way to lead into this post”. Sorry, folks. Maybe next week I’ll figure out a good way to lead into the post that completely excuses the fact that I didn’t really do anything to lead into this post except for this.
During a meeting, Futami gets another responsibility dumped onto her…needing to make the cover illustration for the next issue of the magazine that her manga gets published in! With the fact that she also needs to get work done regarding the second tankobon volume of her series, how will she juggle the workload?
This was exactly the kind of episode I expected to come from this series. And considering the fact that I was tired while watching this episode, that was exactly what I needed at that time. Which, honestly, I’m thankful for.
While I found that I didn’t like the aspect of a character introduced in the second half of the episode (mainly due to the fact that they wrote a manga in a genre that I feel iffy about), I think that’s just a case of my own personal preference and not indicative of the character actually being a bad character.
And just to make it clear: I don’t dislike all of the new characters that were introduced in this episode. I actually enjoyed most of them! However, not every character is going to be a hit with every person, and that’s okay. As long as you respect that I don’t like that character, then I’ll respect your opinion on the character.
Outside of this, however, I can’t really think of anything that makes this episode stand out from the rest. Not to say that’s a bad thing, but maybe I just feel that way because I’m tired at the time I’m writing this.
Ultimately, if you’re already enjoying A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace, then you’re going to enjoy this episode, as it’s the same kind of thing that you’ve likely come to expect from it. While you’d likely want to watch the episodes before this one to be able to understand the full context behind what’s happening in the series, I’d still say that it’s worth it, as I enjoy the series.
Maybe that’s just my love for this series talking, who knows.
