The lore in this episode. The lore. Oh my goodness. There’s so much I could talk about regarding the lore. Let’s just get into that, because the lore.
The letter from the London CUREtto Detective Agency gets opened, and the contents of it are revealed: the identity of Luluka Moria as Cure Arcana Shadow, and how she had previously solved cases for the London CUREtto Detective Agency.
Oh, and there’s also a scene somewhere in here where Nijee’s like “I’ll get the Makoto Jewel, Maestro Usonoir”, only for Maestro Usonoir to be like “Agesiene’s already on it”, which boo, let Nijee do more stuff! Although this does give us a funny scene of Mashutan cosplaying as Cure Arcana Shadow.
Searching for more answers, Anna and Mikuru go to the place where the big Makoto Jewel was shattered to look for more clues, and they find one with the help of the PreKit Mirror Loupe! Luluka herself also appears and asks a question to them. She disappears, however, and after (or maybe before, I may have gotten the order mixed up) that, Pochitan was like “Makoto jewel! :o” and becomes a pouch to drag Anna away. You know, typical Pochitan shennanigans!
Anyway, the answer to the case that reveals where the Makoto Jewel is hidden is so easy that it might not even be considered a case. But we see Agesiene, the Hanninda gets summoned, and a fight ensues. Luluka comes in during that fight, transforms into Cure Arcana Shadow, and gets involved a bit as well. During this segment, however, it is revealed that she chose to join the Phantom Thieves.
Please never reform, Cure Arcana Shadow. You are way too good of a villain to just do a heel-face turn and join the heroes, you are so much fun as your current role.
Anyway, Anna and Mikuru win overall, and they take what they found back to the CUREtto Detective Agency, where they investigate further to discover what hint the photo holds. I won’t spoil everything, but it does hint at both that fourth Cure that I’ve been talking about (even if we still don’t know who they are) and how a character is at least aware of them.
But seriously, fourth Cure when? /lh
Genuinely so excited to see where Episode 16 takes us. The lore. The lore. I want to get more of the lore.
