Another anime season, another Sara Talks Anime plans post. Just like with my Spring 2026 anime season post, I’ll won’t be getting into on/off site updates so that I don’t say I’ll do one thing and just not do it. I will, however, get into territory that’d be more of a ramble after listing what shows I’m watching.
Additionally, the Summer 2026 anime season marks one year since I began doing full series simulcast writeups on this site that didn’t get mirrored onto Lesley’s Anime and Manga Corner! It wouldn’t be until the Fall 2025 season for me to stop posting content on Lesley’s Anime and Manga Corner entirely, but the Summer 2025 season was the start of the transitioning period for me.
Before I list the shows, however, hehe mascot Sara go hiss at the water because she cat. :]
KEY
text like this – Series that got coverage on Sara Talks Anime prior to this post.
text like this – Series that hasn’t been covered on Sara Talks Anime prior to this post, but will be soon. This is mainly due to the fact that it hasn’t premiered yet.
text like this – Series that hasn’t been covered on Sara Talks Anime, but I will talk about elsewhere (typically my account on the Fediverse outside of this site, ash_plavell@urusai.social.)
Carryovers
Simulcasts that started in a previous anime season that I will continue to watch during the Spring 2026 anime season that has no gap between seasons. Please note that this does not count additional seasons of shows that aired after a gap between their previous season. Those are under Continuations instead.
- Detective Conan
- Meitantei Precure
NOTE: While I follow Detective Conan as a simulcast, coverage on Sara Talks Anime at the moment is based on where I currently am in my rewatch of the older stuff (as well as my first viewing of some of it), and will take a while to catch up to where the simulcast is, assuming it ever does catch up to where the simulcast is.
Continuations
Shows that are receiving a new season this anime season after a gap between the previous season.
- Clevatess (Season 2)
New Premieres
Shows that are airing their first season during this anime season.
- The Cat and the Dragon
- Victoria of Many Faces
If all you care about this post for is finding out what shows I’ll be watching in the Summer 2026 anime season, you are free to leave this post now. If you’d like to read me ramble about stuff that has little impact on you guys, however, then feel free to continue below the divider.
Remember when I brought up that I was noticing sites that weren’t affiliated with me pop up with my site name in the descriptions that they gave to search engines and how those disappeared after a while? Well, while I don’t know if it’s because of an exact consequence of the SEO spamming or just me not actively submitting my URLs to Google Search Console to index as I thought they were doing a good job indexing my URLs, but I’ve noticed that less of my pages have been marked as indexed on Google. The latest of these that are showing in Google Search Console as of the time I’m writing this post is my writeup for Kill Blue episode 5. For a bit of additional context for how far behind these are, my post about episode 11 will be going up later today.
And unfortunately, due to how much it feels like some sites rely on Google’s indexing system, that means that less of my pages are available for access on the broader search engine. I thought that I’d be able to just let Google’s bots do their thing after a while and call it a day, but nope, it appears that was wishful thinking.
While it doesn’t seem to have tanked my views too badly (my views during the month after this occurred were still higher than the month it occurred), it just shows that more people are finding my posts through means that aren’t using search engines, likely instead using AniBlogTracker or by getting to the posts from my socials (or my mom’s boosts of those posts!), however I know that I cannot rely on using only this kind of growth forever.
So, behind the scenes, where you likely won’t see the fruits of my labor, starting with the Summer 2026 anime season, I will be sending every single one of my posts to Google Search Index after they’re published in hopes that will help boost the amount of indexed URLs that appear when you search for me in the long run. That does mean more effort on my end, but I’m sure it’ll be fine in the long run.
Outside of that, however, to show up something you guys will notice, I’ve been working at trying to make navigation on the site easier! If you’ve used it before, you might’ve noticed that I only have easy-to-access links for the episode before and the episode after the episode you’re on, and you’d have to navigate through your site history just to get back to a standardized index page.
However, not only does every post now link to its respective index pages (if it has one), but I’m also working at getting the pages themselves all nicely linked, as well as standardizing the simulcast writeup pages to not have as much variance with how they display episodes!
On the side, I’ve also been going through and making my content warning boxes war for less space. In fact, I’d like to show you the two I’ve done so far!

“Could you hold on a minute before you continue?”
CONTENT WARNING: There’s actually no content for me to warn you guys for, this is just an example of what this looks like now.

There’s nothing spoiler worthy here, this is just needed for me to be able to show you guys what this looks like now.
Also trying to have myself work smarter instead of harder by utilizing WordPress’s pattern thing instead of relying on copying and pasting the same block every single time. Eventually I’ll go back and update every single instance of the original versions of these two things with the new versions, as well as maybe do some more visual updates around the site (the image in the second one was supposed to just be a temporary image!), but once I finish those three projects for this site, I don’t know if there will be anything left for me to do to keep this site up to my standards.
And June 11th was the first anniversary of the site going live! On that day, I also debuted the current favicon and site logo, as well as made my post about the penultimate episode of Always a Catch!, which probably explains why I didn’t make a big stir about it over here. Don’t worry, I acknowledged it on Tumblr and Bluesky!
I think that’s everything that I need to cover in this post, unless you guys can think of anything that I absolutely have to talk about.
