I am bursting at the seams with excitement right now, and it isn’t even about this episode. I fully understand why the episode that I’m currently doing a writeup for wasn’t until this week, but next episode is one that I’m probably going to be writing so much about it isn’t even funny. You’ll understand exactly why next week. After all, patience is a virtue.
Anyway, the episode begins with Anna and Mikuru helping a little girl find her rabbit plush. While interacting with the girl and her mom, however, Anna begins thinking back to her time and her mom. Awww. 😦
This bleeds into back at the CUREtto Detective Agency, with Mikuru asking Anna if she liked the wrapping job for one of the items for Pretty Holic, only for Anna to basically be spacing out again. But after Jett realizes he’s out of candy, Anna decides to go out and buy some more for him.
However, that may have been a bad decision on her part, because she a kid and their mom, leading her to think back on her mom again. During her time out, however, she runs into Kurea, who offers to take her to the place she works for the sweets, which Anna decides to take up. It also leads into Kurea deciding to make a cake for Anna as well.
There’s also a side thing where Mikuru decides she needs to train herself, though I don’t think it’s that important to the main plot.
Anyway, we also have Goemon and Luluka working together to get the next Makoto Jewel…with Luluka only in it for the ice cream. Anyway, events occur that cause all of these separate plot points to converge. We all know how this ends up by now, Anna, Mikuru, and Luluka transform, and a fight ensues that ends in victory for Anna and Mikuru.
And the cake Kurea made? It looks just like the one Anna got for her birthday back in 2027, but with toppers of herself, Mikuru, Pochitan, and Jett on them. The episode ends with a sweet image of everyone enjoying the cake together.
And then it got overshadowed by the absolute nuclear bomb that the preview for next week’s episode was for me. I’ll explain more about that next week, but if you know me well enough, I think you’ll know why I’m saying this now. If you don’t know me well enough? Well, wait until next week, I’m not going to reveal it right now.
But this was a fun episode, even if it was sad with how Anna was feeling during it. And then NEXT WEEK’S EPISODE–
Okay, I’ll shut up about next week’s episode now and actually save it for next week. Besides, all I have to go off of for it is the preview. I would like to apologize in advanced for how insufferable I will become next week.
