Gonna get a bit on the personal (and also somewhat political) side for my “pre-review paragraph” and say that I’ve never been so scared for my own safety. You probably already know the results of the US presidential election by now, but just in case you don’t, all I’ll say is that to try and reduce the chance of me being attacked just for being myself, I have to put on an additional mask OVER the mask that I’ve already had to wear, all because I know that I prefer to take the easy way out and avoid conflicts. The content I enjoy now feels more like home than the country I was born and raised in, and that fluffing sucks. Just know that regardless of what happens during this, I will continue pushing through this and live as long as possible. After all, at least in my life, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just four years of this, and then I don’t have to hide my true self from the public eye.
…okay, that got a bit longer and deeper than I would’ve preferred. I’ll just get into the review already.
The episode begins with the group conversing with the girl before Glorio walks off with Goku and Shin, and the girl just follows along. During the walk, the girl introduces herself to Goku, stating that her name is Panzy. This causes Goku to state out loud, “That’s a weird name!” which also causes Goku to introduce himself and the others, even saying the name he was given at birth as a Saiyan.
On the way to the castle, Panzy is like, “This way’s quicker!” while hesitant at first, the group follows, with Panzy even insisting on tagging along with the group. Glorio decides to just let her come along, having the feeling that she’d most likely get turned away when they reach the gate of the castle. And when they do, the guards are naturally on edge…though Panzy coming up front and talking to the guards was enough for the guards to change their tune and let them in, as she’s the princess. Which is fun.
Anyway, they get into the castle, and the king doesn’t believe that Goku (who, remember, currently looks like a kid), could be the person that Glorio had gone out to get…so Goku fights AND WINS against the soldiers in the army, causing the king to believe it. There’s also a plan prepared to get some of the others into the Demon Realm, and Glorio gets to borrow a plane…and Panzy insists on tagging along yet again!
The borrowed plane takes off, and things go smoothly for a bit…before the engine sparks, and we begin going down, likely because Panzy brought along too much stuff! Which is where the episode ends! Yay…
In case you probably couldn’t guess already, I’m still not sold on Glorio not having any potential ulterior motives. I’ve learned my lesson after a particular Kirby game. Until the series ends, I am treating Glorio as if he has something to hide. That’s right, Glorio, you ain’t gonna earn my trust that easily!
I swear I’m not this untrusting in real life; I just don’t trust Glorio. But still, I’ve been enjoying the show and this episode. It built up some information about the inhabitants of the Demon Realm (which I chose not to get into detail about here because I would’ve gotten derailed and blabbed about that for a lengthy while instead of focusing on the episode), and I just really enjoy the story overall so far. Can’t wait to see where this goes next week!
