Life’s been trucking on. And it’s been doing so at a rate that’s leaving me exhausted. But just as life keeps trucking on, I will keep working on these writeups for Dragon Ball Daima. After all, writing doesn’t take a ton out of me, and I enjoy doing these posts!
The episode begins with Goku and the gang continuing to fly toward Warp-sama, and after some time, they decide to land and spend the night at an inn because Panzy doesn’t want to camp outside again. Of course, due to the whole “Goku beating a Tamagami” thing, it wasn’t going to be safe for Goku to openly be outside. So, Panzy put a pink bear hat of hers on Goku’s head to hide his spiky hair. While waiting for Glorio to get all checked in…
he removes the bear hat, as he found it uncomfortable. This, unfortunately, also has the effect of patrons of the inn recognizing Goku, and making the plan to steal the Dragon Ball of the Third Demon World from them. Back to that later. The four get into their room, with Panzy taking a bath…and later insisting Goku takes one, even lending him some of her clothes to change into. Unfortunately, after changing, a ruckus occurs in the front area of the inn, so Shin, Panzy, and Goku go to investigate, with Glorio coming out as well.
This was nothing more than a diversion for one of the other residents of this Demon World to steal the Dragon Ball. With help from Panzy having a tracker, however, Goku is able to follow these demons to their hide out and beat them up, getting the Dragon Ball back. He gets back to the inn and ends up choosing to stay up to stand guard to make sure that the Dragon Ball doesn’t get stolen again…but falls asleep on shift. Excellent job, Goku. But honestly, that also would’ve been me.
They head out again…and I’ll take a pause here to go to where Bulma and the others are doing, as they actually intersect with Goku and the others. Bulma and the others had their plane stolen, so they end up calling Goku and the others to get picked up. Well, Goku and the others do arrive…but later leave because they don’t have room, so they need to get a new plane somehow. Also, the people that Vegeta got mad to require the plane to get stolen face off against Vegeta and Piccolo, but they lost, and revealed where the plane is. Based on the interaction between Goku and Bulma, there will most likely be a meetup either next week or the week after that, based on my best approximation.
We also got to see more of Gomah and Shin’s brother (I’m sorry, I will not take the effort to remember his name), with Gomah getting word of Goku being in the Demon Realm and getting one of the Dragon Balls. Honestly, the animation here was hilarious. I also learned on the 4th of December that Gomah and Shikamaru from Naruto share the same voice actor. And the only reason I figured that out is because I looked into the VA of a character of a different show I watch.
Also, Arinsu got the new Majin made and sent it to fight a Tamagami. Also, this Majin was made by mixing a lot of stuff, which…wow. I don’t really want to get into it, just a fun fact.
However, this was still a very fun episode! It’s clear that a lot of care was put into it, and I always appreciate seeing that in the shows I watch. And with Majin Kuu revealed at the end of the episode, it makes me wonder what will end up happening in the future. With the next episode being named “Ocean”, my mind automatically is jumping to “beach episode equivalent”, but I’ll let the show confirm or deny that. I can’t wait to see where this ends up going. Seriously, I think this is going to be great.
