WAIT, HOLD ON, WHAT DO YOU MEAN DAIMA ENDS NEXT WEEK?! I saw the announcement, so I already know this is happening, but DAMN, it feels like just last month this show came back after a skip week!
…wait a minute, that actually was the case, if you don’t count the odd numbers of days. Well, um…it feels like just last week we met Glorio! Yeah! That’s a good exaggerated sense of time I can do! Yeah! …okay, I’ll actually get into reviewing the episode now.
The episode begins by revealing what wish Glorio made, and just like I predicted in my previous writeup, Glorio ended up betraying Arinsu. Yay for my sense of pacing not being messed up! Honestly, I’m glad that they went with the “Glorio betraying Arinsu” route, even if I had held on to hope for the other way around. It would’ve been an interesting angle to explore, but they wouldn’t have had the time to properly explore it.
…note to self: consider writing a fanfic that follows Glorio actually following through with Arinsu’s plan.
But because of Glorio’s betrayal, Goku and the others get their original size and strength back, and Arinsu just straight-up fires Glorio. However, this firing is for the better, as it means he can help out Goku and the others without feeling like he’s going against Arinsu. Yay, I guess?
Yeah, I need to throw away my Glorio skepticism. It’s already clear that he’s fully on Goku and the gang’s side.
And when they got their regular bodies back, Vegeta goes in to fight Gomah, even being able to fight evenly with Gomah by going Super Saiyan 3. But via Third Evil Eye ex-machina or some crap like that, Gomah can still go at it. Also, Arinsu decides to continue to help out Goku and the crew by having Kuu get a book from the archives, and revealing how to get the Third Evil Eye off of Gomah…by hitting him on the back of the head three times! Exactly what you’d expect from classic Dragon Ball logic.
Now, Goku has a plan, but for it to work, Vegeta has to take a breather, but we all know he won’t take one so easily. So…Bulma threatens to not take anymore baths with Vegeta if he doesn’t stop fighting. This works, and so Goku gets to go up, showing Gomah all four Super Saiyan transformations that he has at this point.
NEXT WEEK IS THE FINAL BATTLE! I expect an extended episode for this. Literally, I don’t think that we can properly wrap all of this up in one standard episode. I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that the next episode will be 45 minutes long. Now, let’s all watch as I get proven wrong because I’m not good at predicting episode lengths due to my skewed sense of pacing due to being neurodivergent! And if I actually turn out to be right…well, that’ll just be ANOTHER correct prediction under my belt for this series. How many of those do I have so far…? Eh, whatever, I’ll see y’all next week when we see how this all wraps up!
